Join students and faculty for a presentation by
James Lull, Professor Emeritus in Communication Studies at San Jose State University. His topic: “The great chain of communication.” From Dr. Lull: “Beginning with sexual signaling and early language all the way to active participation in the vast electronic and digital networks that pervade modern life, communication processes determine the way humans develop. Nothing could be more important for understanding where we’re headed as a species.” In his presentation, Professor Lull explains how communication is the engine that propels human development and explores evolution’s connection to religion and religious dogma. Challenging the boundaries of conventional approaches, Professor Lull presents an original view of evolution, a stinging critique of religious dogma, and an encouraging prognosis for our collective future. Lunch will be served.
