USC Unruh Institute of Politics, invite students, faculty and friends to watch the acceptance speech of Senator
John McCain for the
Republican nomination for President of the United States. University professor
Geoffrey Cowan, law and political science professor
Kareem Crayton, Annenberg School of Journalism director
Geneva Overholser, journalism professor
Michael Parks, journalism professor and syndicated columnist
Richard Reeves, and
Dan Schnur, director of the Unruh Institute and former communications director for John McCain, will also lead a discussion analyzing political speech and media coverage of the 2008 presidential election. Refreshments will be served.
