USC Annenberg's Knight Chair in Media and Religion presents a screening and discussion of the documentary
Jesus Camp. The film follows a group of young children to Pastor Becky Fischer's "Kids on Fire Summer Camp," where "they are taught to become dedicated Christian soldiers in God's army and are schooled in how to take back America for Christ." The film is "a first-ever look into an intense training ground that recruits born-again Christian children to become part of America's political future."
The screening is followed by a discussion with filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady of Loki Films. Co-sponsors include Cinematheque 108 (USC School of Cinematic Arts); USC Center for Religion & Civic Culture, Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics, and the School of Religion (USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences).
