Join journalism school director Michael Parks for a discussion with Colin Crawford, assistant managing editor/photography of the Los Angeles Times. Crawford, whose Times' photographers have won Pulitzer Prizes and World Press Photo awards, will discuss editorial decision making about front-page photos, ethics, privacy, and the perils photographers face in covering war and other stories. Also joining the discussion will be Jean-Marc Bouju, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Associated Press photographer whose photograph of an Iraqi prisoner and his daughter won the World Press Photo of the Year in 2004. World Press Photo 05 at USC Annenberg is made possible through support from the Los Angeles Times. Lunch will be served.
