The Leroy F. Aarons Summer Institute on Sexual Orientation Issues in the News is an AEJMC pre-convention workshop offering preparation for institutions addressing diversity issues in new curriculum standards for accreditation.
Presenters include faculty from the USC Annenberg School for Communication, University of Colorado-Boulder, and the Poynter Institute, as well as representatives from GLBT activist and professional organizations.
Registration is $50. The fee covers meals and materials, which include books, curricular and supplementary materials provided by GLBT organizations.
