The "Trap" Effect of Television

During the campaign season, what impact does television coverage have on political particpation? How likely are people to vote because of something they see on television? Professor Klaus Schnbach (Department of Communication Science, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands) will discuss his latest research, which examined the influence the media and other forms of communication had on voters in the 1999 European elections. He will reveal his significant conclusions about the most effective ways to increase political particpation among the general public.
