Step into the lives of five young teachers and witness their first year. The trials and the triumphs.
The First Year is a feature length documentary by Davis Guggenheim about the crisis in recruiting new teachers. Actress and narrator Elisabeth Shue will moderate a discussion about the challenges and crisis in recruiting new teachers following the screening. The panel includes USC Rossier School of Education Dean Karen Gallagher, filmmaker Davis Guggenheim and teachers Nate Monley and Joy Kraft-Watts.
