The invasion of journalism by entertainment values is the provocative topic of talks by the Nate Monaster Writers-in-Residence. Tom Wicker is the award-winning author of nine novels, six works of nonfiction, and the longtime "In the Nation" op-ed columnist for The New York Times. Producer, director, writer, and executive Pamela Hill has been called one of the country's finest and most influential documentary-makers. Her career at ABC, NBC, and CNN includes the creation of the most acclaimed documentary units since the Murrow years, "Closeup" and "Special Assignment."
