Forum on Local Telecommunications Competition in California USC Faculty Center | |
Is vigorous competition for telephone, Internet access and other local services really emerging in California? Who stands to gain and lose most from competition? How are communications industry mergers affecting California businesses and consumers? These questions, which are currently under review by the California Public Utilities Commission, will be discussed and debated by experts from RAND, GTE, Pacific Bell, AT&T, MCI WorldCom, ICG Netcom, Covad, Cox Communications, Americans for Competitive Telecommunications, The Utility Reform Network and the CPUC. The Forum will also include questions and comments from the audience at the Faculty Center and on the Web.
