DEAN'S SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SUMMER 2012
ANNENBERG INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS & CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS 

Scholarships will be awarded to students participating in the following Summer 2012 programs: International Communication Studies*, Dublin Internship, New York Internship, ICS China, Cuba, and the Cue-South Africa program.  Scholarships (each up to $1,500) will be applied towards program expenses before the students' departure.

* Not part of the ICS Bill Faith Endowed scholarships.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

• Must be confirmed as a participant in one of the five Annenberg undergraduate summer 2012 programs.
• A 1-2 page pre-proposal for the USC Discovery Scholars or Global Scholars capstone project. For more information on the capstone project criteria, please visit the websites for either Scholars program.
• Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Students are invited to provide a printout of their 2011-2012 or 2012-2013 financial aid statement. (A financial aid statement is not required to apply.)

MORE INFORMATION ON THE CAPSTONE PROJECT:
The capstone project is designed for students who have already studied abroad (Global Scholars) or have already done or started a research project. You will draft the 1-2 page proposal based on research that you would conduct in the future during your study abroad program.

Note: Your pre-proposal will not qualify you for either Scholars program for 2012. The pre-proposal serves as a foundation for your capstone project in preparation for the Discovery or Global Scholars program for 2013 or 2014, depending on your anticipated year of graduation.

DEADLINE:

The 1-2 page capstone project is due via email to Annenberg International Programs by 4:30pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Only electronic submissions will be accepted and should be sent to ascintl@usc.edu by the deadline.
