REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP:
-
Must be confirmed as a participant in one of the five Annenberg undergraduate summer 2012 programs.
-
A 1-2 page pre-proposal for the USC
Discovery Scholars or
Global Scholars capstone project. For more information on the capstone project criteria, please visit the websites for either Scholars program.
-
Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Students are invited to provide a printout of their 2011-2012 or 2012-2013 financial aid statement. (A financial aid statement is not required to apply.)
MORE INFORMATION ON THE CAPSTONE PROJECT:
The capstone project is designed for students who have already studied abroad (Global Scholars) or have already done or started a research project. You will draft the 1-2 page proposal based on research that you would conduct in the future during your study abroad program.
Note: Your pre-proposal will not qualify you for either Scholars program for 2012. The pre-proposal serves as a foundation for your capstone project in preparation for the Discovery or Global Scholars program for 2013 or 2014, depending on your anticipated year of graduation.
DEADLINE:
The 1-2 page capstone project is due via email to Annenberg International Programs by 4:30pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Only electronic submissions will be accepted and should be sent to ascintl@usc.edu by the deadline.
