The Selden Ring Awards is a jewel of recognition for top journalists. The $35,000 award recognizes published investigative reporting that has brought results – such as the series by the 2007 award recipients from the Hartford Courant, for their series exposing the US military’s recruitment and deployment of mentally ill soldiers into Iraq.
