Other elements

  1. Colors. USC Colors are Cardinal and Gold. For publications, printers use PMS 201C for the USC Cardinal and PMS 123C as the USC Gold. Publications with color should include these two colors.
  2. Fonts. USC Fonts are Caslon 540 and Frutiger 55 Roman. These fonts should be used for headlines, subject heads, or titles of publications. Body text may be a more easily read font, like Times New Roman or Arial.
  3. USC Annenberg "A". The Annenberg "A" is in the Caslon 540 font. It appears as a recurring design theme in Annenberg publications and promotional items. Use for the enhancement of your publications and to extend the Annenberg brand. Do not substitute other fonts for Caslon 540. Download the official image on the graphics download page.
  4. Designers. Publication and Web designers must be approved USC vendors and provide their vendor code. For high-cost jobs (over $2,500) multiple proposals should be obtained and considered. The USC Annenberg publications office is available to coordinate and refer designers for your project. No work on any project may begin until a purchase order is created.
  5. Letterhead, business cards and stationery. USC has contracted with two printers to be the sole source of letterhead and business cards. Letterhead must strictly conform to USC graphic guidelines and may only be ordered through Letterhead Factory, (310) 320-2222. Business cards must strictly conform to USC graphic guidelines and may only be ordered through Corporate Graphics, (626) 814-8181.
  6. Printers. Printers must be approved USC vendors and provide their vendor code. For high-cost jobs (over $5,000), there is a mandatory bid process conducted by the USC Purchasing Office. The USC Annenberg publications office will help coordinate with the purchasing office. No work may begin until a purchase order is created.
  7. Distribution. USC Mailing Services handles bulk mail distribution for the University. There are other approved vendors for mailing services. The USC Annenberg publications office is available to assist with publication distribution.
